The saga continues…..

Well it was such a great winters day that I had to go and take my first set of images for the roadside memorial must admit less than 10 images and two that could well be usable, will know better when I check it out on the large screen and print test. Setting myself limits to how many images I can shoot at any one location certainly sharpens up your game, it makes you get all the elements correct before you click the shutter, I have been asked why do I bother doin so few shots when I am using basically endless digital, well it’s simple I watched Steve McCurry’s documentary on the last roll of Kodak 36 gold to come of the production line, Kodak ave it to him and he decided to take portraits, 36 individual and each of a different subject, one click one image, can you image how strained it would have been making sure all the elements were perfect before hitting the shutter button, not only do you have to be totally on top of your game you have to be fully focused. Witt this in mind and the fact I use to shoot mostly in film I decided to bring this over to the digital world and continue to shoot with a limited film. It really does help you to focus your mind in bringing all the elements together correctly, try it sometime, maybe even watch the doco it’s worthwhile for sure.

back later….
