Does It Change Again?

Righto so going through critiquing this morning we had a fresh and outside approach from another fine arts/photographer, I was asked the usual whys hows what do I want too say etc, it’s very hard too explain what it is that I want too say when there is nothing that I want too say but more so that I want too create fine art images that make the viewer question what is it that they are viewing, this is of course extremely basic for me too do whenever I create a surreal or abstract image so why can it not be the same when working with people? I find having live models so much more difficult, not only too get the correct poses and lighting but also the context and content of the image too be spot on. It seems that if I want too create images as such then I need too add context and have answers too what it is that I am trying too say regardless if it is not being said or ambiguous. So this session I will do the close up shots of the tied up arms ankles etc, I will add candid shots that will create their own context and leave the viewer in no doubt as to what it is they are seeing. How will I do this I do not know, my big problem having a chaotic mind is that I see an image I have just taken and think of how I can upscale it change it a little make it better even, then I tend too head off track and wander down a different path, sometimes having a brain that works this way can be constructive but often or not can also be very destructive especially when trying too knuckle down specifics. So back too basics once again, when in doubt go back to the start and re-look at what has been done and see if there is the story there that I can expand on, create from new images or follow the lines already created. I will also go back too those that live the lifestyle and are totally involved in the BDSM life and possible photograph them, though it could turn out more documentary then I would like if I follow that avenue, but it is something worth exploring and one should never dismiss ideas no matter how off track or far fetched that they may seem to you, there is always good in fresh ideas whether they are used or not. Well I have five weeks left to get this sorted printed and mounted, I have not even truly thought of how I will display my images, my last lot was a hybrid installation, and that worked extremely well, can I do this again by having items under the images, for example the image where the model is turned away from the camera and sitting on the plinths, maybe have a strip of the plinth as a shelf with the corresponding items laid on it, not only does this give the image more a 3d effect it would give the viewers another platform on which too add more context into the art work itself. Sigh, taking photos is easy, creating fine art images that speak volumes is not, well not yet for me, it is something that I know will come too me once I have gotten passed this brief, usually what happens it’s called Murphy’s law and that little Irish bugger plays a big part in my life, right up there with Chaos. So time too go back too the books and do some reading on how others have achieved the crossover from just creating images too creating images full of context and content.
